Another year, another Innovation Academy! This annual meeting provides attendees with educational sessions, important updates, valuable resources, and networking opportunities galore! Expert speakers have amassed to address advancements and challenges, inspire ideas and collaboration, and impart experience and confidence.
Starting off, attendees should attend one of this afternoon’s focused courses: F001 – Future of Dermatology Symposium: The New Skin Frontier, C001 – Navigating Practice Management in Dermatology: Insights and Innovations, and E001 – Branding and the Business of Dermatology. Do not miss this evening’s keynote speaker Zack Kass, a futurist and former head of GTM at OpenAI. Kass will examine AI’s evolving role in health care and highlight ways it can help amplify clinician performance and patient experience. AAD President Susan C. Taylor, MD, FAAD, will follow with an overview of recent advancements and opportunities in her Presidential Update. Cap off day one at the Welcome Reception, located in the Experience Hub!
Sessions begin tomorrow with these highlights:
- Friday: Honor this year’s Fox and Kelly award recipients, Robert S. Kirsner, MD, PhD, FAAD, and Valerie Callender, MD, FAAD, and hear more about their amazing contributions to the specialty during N001 – Celebrating Excellence: A Duo of Distinguished Talks on Friday morning. Later, get a front row seat at D001 – Derm Tank to discover exciting innovations from your peers.
- Saturday: Rise and shine at one of the 7:30 a.m. Sunrise Sessions covering medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermatopathology, hidradenitis suppurativa, contact dermatitis, and environmental sustainability. Then, carve out time to view Innovation Academy Posters, if you haven’t already, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Sunday: Attend a new session, such as SUN14 – Pearls: Surgical or SUN12 – Investing and Finance for Dermatologists, or a perennial favorite, P025 – Cosmetic Dermatology Innovations: From Topicals to Injectables & Devices.
