And the Derm Tank winner is ...
The competition included three exciting presentations adjudicated for innovation and commercial viability.

Katherine B. Lee, MD, FAAD, won this year’s annual Derm Tank competition on July 11. Her presentation highlighted CryoCaptures, a lightweight adapter that attaches to existing handheld-cryotherapy devices and uses proprietary thermal image recognition technology and software to capture the procedure.
Dr. Lee demonstrates how CryoCaptures works.
Neil K. Jairath, MD, and Vignesh Ramachandran, MD, FAAD, gave a lively presentation on DermFlow, which enables asynchronous delivery of care so patients can receive care faster. Abraham Abdulhak, MD, FAAD, presented on the Solar Roller, a revolutionary sunscreen applicator that transforms the outdated, messy process of applying sun protection.
Derm Tank was directed by Mark D. Kaufmann, MD, FAAD; Ashish Bhatia, MD, FAAD; and Arianne Shadi Kourosh, MD, MPH, FAAD.
Last year’s winner, Justin W. Marson, MD, was in attendance and provided an update on his presentation for a light detection and ranging (LiDAR) tool to help standardize and scale three-dimensional imaging.
