Are you ready to round?
Attendees have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on grand rounds session at this summer’s meeting.

P009 – Grand Rounds
8:45-10:45 a.m. | Saturday, July 18
Mercury Ballroom
Hearing the term “grand rounds” should evoke dermatologists’ early careers, as it is a component of most, if not all, university residency programs. New this year at Innovation Academy, P009 – Grand Rounds will replicate this experience by presenting case-based discussions of complex problems in the general, medical, and pediatric dermatology field.
Session director Courtney R. Schadt, MD, FAAD, has rounded up a panel of expert speakers across the country and selected cases with high-yield lessons to impart. Dr. Schadt is associate professor and vice chair of education in the department of dermatology at Vanderbilt Health in Nashville.
“Grand rounds sessions are essential to dermatology education. They have several purposes, including development of visual diagnostic skills and differential diagnoses, and discussions of optimal evaluation and medical management of an individual patient,” Dr. Schadt said.

Using an audience response system, attendees will weigh in on case diagnosis and collaborate on appropriate, evidence-based approaches to manage patients with a range of median to multifaceted dermatologic disorders. Dr. Schadt said each presented case will be of high importance for physicians to recognize, understand, and treat within their own day-to-day practice.
