Janssen Immunology is committed to relentlessly advancing care. Our goal in Dermatology is to build enduring alliances in partnership with multidisciplinary providers, patients, and advocacy organizations to end healthcare inequities in diagnosis, access, care, and outcomes for people of color with psoriatic disease.

Skin Color Should Not Determine Your Health Outcomes.

As part of Johnson & Johnson’s dedication to building healthier communities, we’re working to ensure that everyone has equitable access to the medicines we develop, that social factors are addressed as part of the treatment journey, and that a healthier future is within reach for everyone in every skin. This inclusive future is being built and shared in partnership with patients, providers, communities, and us.

Janssen’s Symposium “Caring for All Colors” showcases a panel of internationally-acclaimed dermatology experts in skin of color who are both very knowledgeable and extremely committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The purpose of this symposium is to discuss the current status and progress in diversity in clinical trials and care for people of all colors. It will cover current gaps in knowledge and care, and our progress thus far includes novel methods in skin of color research and tips for optimizing cultural sensitivity when serving a diverse population.

Patients are ready to be understood by their dermatologist and the healthcare community. Healthcare professionals (HCPs) are ready to evolve the standard of care for patients of color — through inclusive primary research, more real-world evidence, and deeper partnerships among multidisciplinary providers, researchers, and diverse communities. Armed with data about care gaps, providers are ready to deliver more culturally responsive care, building trusting provider-patient relationships. The community is ready. At Janssen Immunology, Dermatology is committed to building enduring alliances, partnering with multidisciplinary providers, patients, and advocacy organizations to support communities of color — in order to improve diagnosis, access, care, and outcomes for patients living with psoriasis.

The cycle of trust and the pathway to inclusivity in dermatology begin now. Let’s do this! So, everyone from everywhere can be healthier and triumph in the skin they’re in.

This program is independent and is not part of the official AAD Annual Meeting, as planned by its Scientific Assembly Committee. This program does not qualify for continuing medical education (CME) credit.
