Laura Geller Beauty's Baked foundations are dermatologist-approved for sensitive skin, and recognized by both the National Rosacea Society & National Psoriasis Foundation.
Presented by Laura Geller

Since makeup artist Laura Geller launched her namesake beauty brand in 1997, the focus has been on easy, foolproof products that fit seamlessly into everyday life. In 2021, the brand dedicated themselves to their core customer - women over 40 - and began featuring exclusively mature women in their marketing and advertising campaigns. After all, the brand had heard from so many women that these makeup products, including the Baked family of foundations, were among the only makeup products that worked for their skin once they reached their 40s.
The brand’s Baked foundations are dermatologist-approved and safe for sensitive skin. In fact, Dr. Howard Sobel, a board-certified dermatologist based in New York City, has said, “Those with sensitive skin types should always look for cosmetics that are hypoallergenic to avoid a reaction in the skin and Laura Geller's baked foundations are a great option for that. These products provide a great balance for those looking to conceal skin irritation and redness without adding toxic ingredients which can further irritate the skin."
All three baked foundations – Baked Balance-n-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation, Baked Balance-n-Glow Illuminating Foundation, and Baked Double Take Full Coverage Foundation – carry the National Rosacea Society Seal of Acceptance. In a clinical trial conducted in 2023, Laura Geller Baked foundations were proven to help color correct redness caused by rosacea and diminish the look of redness over time. Most importantly, these formulas were clinically proven to be safe for individuals with rosacea and will not exacerbate rosacea.
They were also amongst the first-ever makeup products to earn a Seal of Recognition from the National Psoriasis Foundation.
So, what is it about Baked makeup that makes it a smart choice for sensitive skin? A few years after the brand debuted, Laura discovered an innovative technique out of Italy, where cream makeup pigments were baked in ovens for 24 hours, resulting in a powder-like formula that felt creamy and weightless on the skin. Unlike pressed powders or liquid foundation formulas, which can exaggerate the look of pores and wrinkles, baked makeup sits on top of skin, floating over fine lines and blurring the look of skin impurities without caking, creasing, or settling. This feature makes the baked family of Laura Geller beauty products an incredible choice for mature skin. The brand’s first Baked foundation, Baked Balance-n-Brighten, has a natural finish, and since its launch in 2004 remains a top seller - with over 10 million sold.
Two additional formulas, Baked Balance-n-Glow Illuminating Foundation and Baked Double Take Full Coverage Foundation are also in the assortment. Baked Balance-n-Glow delivers the same creamy coverage and marbleized design as Baked Balance-n-Brighten, but with a subtle radiant finish. Baked Double Take is a full-coverage formula that delivers a matte finish.
The brand is also proud to be Leaping Bunny Certified, never testing on animals.
