SUN10 – Innovative Pearls
7:30-8:30 a.m. | Sunday, Aug. 4
Ballroom 6A
An expert panel and a variety of timely topics — that’s what will greet attendees at the Sunday, Aug. 4, session, SUN10 – Innovative Pearls. Session director Ken Tomecki, MD, FAAD, said this popular format is “usually a hit, well-attended, well-received, and often a highlight of the meeting.”
“The premise of the session is a potpourri of various topics all with clinical relevance and clinically germane,” Dr. Tomecki said. “It will have something for everyone, including clinical dermatology, dermatopathology, pediatric dermatology, and dermatologic surgery. All presentations will be somewhat rapid-fire and very focused, highlighting whatever the speaker deems appropriate, relevant, and interesting in their field.”
The range of presentations will spotlight new and contemporary information, such as what’s new in diagnosis and treatment, and will accent personal experiences and individual expertise from presenters, Dr. Tomecki said.
To improve diagnostic and therapeutic skills, Dr. Tomecki said the session lineup includes the following presentations and speakers:
- “Pediatric Pearls,” Esteban Fernandez Faith, MD, FAAD
- “Hairy Pearls,” Natasha Atanaskova Mesinkovska, MD, PhD, FAAD
- “Dermpath Pearls, Coast to Coast,” Ata Moshiri, MD, MPH, FAAD
- “Pearls from the Panhandle,” Michelle B. Tarbox, MD, FAAD
- “Curried Pearls,” Neal D. Bhatia, MD, FAAD
- “Surgical Pearls,” Alok Vij, MD, FAAD
“The session and its topics say it all,” Dr. Tomecki said. “It is a focused nidus of good, practical information for the dermatologist.”
