Hot Topics for session selected by attendees
Bruce Thiers, M.D., will lead the ‘Hot Topics' session March 8.
An exciting array of topics and speakers has been announced for the "Hot Topics" session, Monday, March 8, at the AAD's meeting in Miami Beach. Topics were chosen by attendees during the registration process and represent a consensus of "hot topics" for 2010. The session, which promises to be controversial and informative, and present state-of-the art knowledge on the hottest topics in dermatology, will be led again this year by Bruce Thiers, M.D.

Jack S. Resneck Jr., M.D., will kick off the session with his presentation of a timely and controversial topic, "Health System Reform: What Now?" A revealing presentation, "Coming to America: Skin Diseases You've Never Seen Before," will be presented by Scott A. Norton, M.D., MPH. Attendees interested in the latest in radiologic imaging in dermatology will be treated to a presentation on the topic by Zoran Rumboldt, M.D.  Summer R. Youker, M.D., will present, "Fixing a Hole: Surgical Pearls for the Practicing Dermatologist," followed by Edward W. Cowen, M.D., who will present "What the NIH Does for You." Vera H. Price, M.D., is slated to present on new approaches to management of the alopecias. Darrell S. Rigel, M.D., is also scheduled to present, and will bring his expertise to clinical management of dysplastic nevi.

  As always, "Hot Topics" sessions encourage audience participation, offering attendees the opportunity to be involved in discussing the topics that matter most to them. This is an open admission session that will be presented from 2 to 5 p.m. on Monday, March 8 in the Fillmore Theatre of the Miami Beach Convention Center, and is not to be missed.
